All was grey and cold in Belgium. And quiet, too quiet... Ten young men, born and raised in the plains of Northern Flanders decided to lighten things up by starting a musical project. Music to clear the autumn fog and to warm the shivering flesh. Since 2003, Bottle of Moonshine has been smuggling southern warmth to Northern Europe. Original Jamaican Ska from the sixties is their favourite brand, mixed with influences from jazz, latin, reggae and funk. The band has played on known Belgian stages as Bozar (Brussels), Lintfabriek and Trix (Antwerp) and on major world music festivals as Polé Polé (Ghent). Among others, they played with the New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, Rotterdam Ska jazz Foundation, Dennis Al Capone, the High Notes, the Upsessions and Two Tone Club.
Bottle Of Moonshine - Never Trust the Suits
A first recording experience in 2010 resulted in the EP: «Bottle of Moonshine: Never trust the suits». With these tasty tunes, and a whole lot of instrumental ska-classics (Skatalites, Roland Alphonso) they are ready to take stages by force.
